Masai Mara Safari

Named after the Masai people and the Mara River, the Masai Mara Reserve was established in 1961, covering an area of 320 km² and intersected by the Great Rift Valley. It shares a border with Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, forming a unified ecosystem famous for its abundant wildlife and the remarkable Great Migration of wildebeests and zebras in April-May. 

Home to the renowned Big Five, with a dominant population of wildebeests, the reserve also hosts various antelope species, large herds of zebras, and iconic Masai giraffes. Additionally, the area boasts a rich birdlife with hundreds of species inhabiting the diverse habitats.

Day 1 : Masai Mara National Park

Commence your journey at 6:00 a.m. from your accommodation for breakfast before boarding the Jeep bound for Tsavo East Park. En route, pause at the park entrance to observe crocodiles and monkeys. Embark on your inaugural game drive, scouting for a plethora of wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, and zebras.

Around 1:00 p.m., arrive at the lodge for check-in, where a scrumptious lunch awaits. Take time to relax by the pool or in your room before setting out for a second game drive at 4:00 p.m., extending your opportunities to witness the park’s wildlife in action until sunset. 

Day 1 : Tsavo East National Park
