Overview

Named after the Masai people and the Mara River, the Masai Mara Reserve was established in 1961 and spans an area of 320 km². Situated along the Great Rift Valley, it forms a contiguous ecosystem with Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. The reserve is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including the iconic Big Five – lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes. However, it’s most famed for the spectacular Great Migration of wildebeests and zebras, occurring annually between April and May. The park is home to millions of wildebeests, which migrate from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara during spring and return in autumn. Additionally, diverse antelope species like Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, and impalas roam the plains, alongside large herds of zebras and Masai giraffes. The reserve also boasts a vibrant birdlife, with hundreds of species gracing its skies.

Overview

Embark on an unforgettable five-day safari expedition through the vast and captivating landscapes of Amboseli, Tsavo East, and Tsavo West. Spanning over 21,812 km², Tsavo stands as Kenya’s largest natural park, boasting exceptional biodiversity that ranks it among the world’s most valuable reserves. Tsavo West, renowned for its legendary man-eating lions of the early 20th century, features diverse habitats, including riverine forests, mountains, lakes, and vast plains.

Meanwhile, Amboseli offers unparalleled encounters with free-roaming elephants and opportunities to immerse in Maasai culture. These three parks promise extraordinary wildlife sightings, particularly post-rainy season when the landscapes transform with pink hues and acacia trees bloom with stunning white flowers.
